Severe Thunderstorm, Flash Flooding Warnings Issued Throughout Parts Of DMV Region

Some wicked weather is coming to the DMV region on Tuesday as the area braces for storms that could bring hail and lead to possible flooding to some neighborhoods.

Severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued in Maryland,  Virginia, and Washington, DC on Tuesday, July 25, as forecasts call for fast-moving storms to roll through as it heads up the East Coast.

Quarter-sized hail is possible, as well as wind gusts approaching 60 mph, according to officials, and flooding is a possibility in certain areas throughout the region, though the chance of another tornado remain slim.

Weather is expected to be at its most extreme between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon leading into the night, mainly east of I-81 and east of US-15. 

Following this round of storms, things are expected to return to normal on Wednesday, though it's expected to start warming up, with temperatures approaching the mid 90s by the end of the week.
